We are pleased to announce an evidence-based nursing conference planned for Wednesday, April 26th 2017 at Wichita’s WSU Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex in Wichita, KS from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm hosted by the Epsilon Gamma Chapter-at-Large of Sigma Theta Tau International, a Honor Society of Nursing. (Actual schedule for the day will be available in March 2017). Registration will cover continental breakfast, lunch, snacks, beverages, and continuing education credits for eligible RNs and LPNs.
The theme for the 2017 Evidence-Based Nursing Conference is “Transforming Nursing: Building A Culture of Innovation.”
The evidence-based nursing conference has become an annual event in support of Wichita-area nurses and the patients we serve. This conference will provide an educational forum for updating nursing knowledge about local initiatives, best practices, and creative approaches supported by evidence.
All nurses and nursing students are invited to attend and participate fully in this community event, regardless of practice area or educational level. Click here to register.
Membership in the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing is not required to participate. We strongly encourage you and your colleagues to submit an abstract and showcase your innovative work supported by evidence in the nursing sector. If you’d like to learn more about Epsilon Gamma of Sigma Theta Tau International, please click here.
All submissions received by February 1, 2017 will undergo a “blind” review process after your abstract is de-identified and assigned a number. Authors will be notified of abstract acceptance by March 1, 2017. Those accepted for oral presentations will receive a discount on registration fees. Continuing education hours for RNs will be available and issued by Wichita State University. Please see flyer and FAQ page for additional information.
Save the date and plan to join us, meet new people, and perhaps catch up with old friends. See you there!
